Hello to all . . . .

My Aunt Linda sent this little clip to me just today. I thought I would share this with you all, as my store is all about offering and cheering for "made in the USA" products. We would much rather offer made in the USA products to buy, than the stuff that is not! Support your local artists and companies . . . rah rah rah!

"A physics teacher in high school, told students that while one grasshoper on the railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very much, a billion of them would. With that thought in mind, read the following.

Good light bulb at a time...

In Lowes the hose attachments were all made in China. At Ace Hardware they were made in USA. Start looking. In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects someone else - even their job . Hershey's candy is marked made in Mexico now. Colgate toothpaste is made in Mexico. Switch to Crest. Read the labels on everything. At Kroger 60W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. Next to the GE brand was an off brand labeled, "Everyday Value. " Compared the stats - they were the same except for the price . The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in the USA in a company in Cleveland, Ohio.Throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here.
Bounce Dryer Sheets... Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada. The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! The dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free and at almost half the price!Start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!Let's get with the our fellow Americans keep their jobs and create more jobs here in the U.S.A."

With that in mind, my challenge to you is to look - REALLY LOOK - at labels when you pick up products to put in your cart! It is ironic that we all complain and bellyache about prices going up on everything, but we all still buy name brand items! What is it about that? Do we think they do a better job than the off name or no name brands? After I read this little blip, I am re thinking that theory quite a lot. I am going to start reading label like crazy! I stongly urge you all to do the same!

Have a great last couple of weeks of August! Almost time to go back to school!!!
